From the intersection of Rts. 79 and 973 in Taylor, drive south for 12 miles to New Sweden Road. Turn left onto New Sweden Road. Cemetery is on the corner. |
Appearance: |
The entrance is marked by a cast iron archway with the words “New Sweden Cemetery”. There is an iron fence on either side of the archway. The cemetery consists of two sections – an “Old” section to the left of the archway and a “New” section that comprises the major portion of the cemetery. Most of the plots in the “New” section are surrounded by low concrete walls. Within each plot of the “New” section there are four subplots numbered 1 to 4. Within each subplot, there may be multiple markers – if so, they are number sequentially from north to south. |
