Highland Park Cemetery was only used by the City of Austin for a short time from 1891 to 1893. The graves were in the area which is now Evergreen Cemetery. Many can no longer be located. This information is taken from the sexton’s records. It shows the deceased’s name, day, month and year of burial, age, sex, race, reason of death, attending physician, disease, page in sexton’s book, ward of residence and other notes.
